Gin Can Altrincham is a premium gin bar at Kings Court, Altrincham — part of the Kings Court venue group alongside Cheshire Tap and The Ivy League.
The venue positions itself as the home of Altrincham's biggest and best gin selection: 50+ premium gins, expert mixologists, bespoke cocktails, and an intimate atmosphere suited for dates and social occasions. With a late-night licence until 1am on Friday and Saturday, the site needed to communicate both the premium experience and the late-night offer.
JW Digital built the Gin Can website as part of a broader engagement with the Kings Court venue group, having also built sites for Cheshire Tap and The Ivy League. The sites share a visual language while each maintaining a distinct brand identity.
A premium gin bar needs a website that feels as carefully curated as the drinks list. Generic hospitality templates communicate the opposite of what a venue with 50+ premium gins and expert mixologists wants to say.
The site also needed to function practically — menus, opening hours, booking information, and social links — while still leading with atmosphere and brand rather than information-first navigation.
Weekend table bookings are recommended but not mandatory, so the site needed to communicate this clearly without creating a barrier for walk-in customers.
We built a brand-led website that prioritises atmosphere and product quality above all else, with the 50+ gin claim and cocktail menu as hero content rather than an afterthought.
Opening hours, location, and booking guidance are clearly structured within the layout without disrupting the brand experience. The site links to sister venues Cheshire Tap and The Ivy League as part of the Kings Court venue ecosystem.
Social integration allows the venue to keep content fresh through Instagram, and the mobile experience was optimised for discovery — as most bar visits are planned on phones.
