The Ivy League is a private events venue at Kings Court, Altrincham — offering dedicated venue hire for weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, christenings, and engagement celebrations for up to 100 guests. JW Digital built the venue website as part of the Kings Court group project, alongside Cheshire Tap and Gin Can Altrincham.

The Ivy League is a private events venue at Kings Court, Altrincham — capacity 100 guests, late-night licence until 2am, and a full range of event types from weddings to corporate hire.
The venue is equipped with a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system, a spacious dance floor with DJ booth, a fully licensed premium bar with late-night service, private entrance, and cloakroom facilities. Events range from wedding receptions (from £195) and birthday parties (from £195) to corporate events (from £550).
JW Digital built The Ivy League website as the third site in the Kings Court venue group project — each venue with its own identity, all within a coherent group visual language.
Private events venue enquiries are high-consideration decisions. Couples and event planners are comparing multiple options, often months in advance, and they need to understand capacity, facilities, pricing, and atmosphere before making any contact.
The site needed to provide enough detail to qualify the right enquiries — venue capacity (100), available event types, pricing ranges, late-night licence — while also creating the emotional connection that makes a venue feel like the right place for a special occasion.
As a private hire venue, The Ivy League also needed to convert browsing into direct booking enquiries — ideally through a contact form or phone call rather than a generic 'find out more' button.
We built an events venue website structured around event type — weddings, birthdays, corporate events, christenings, engagements — with per-event content that addresses the specific expectations of each audience.
Pricing ranges were included transparently (from £195 for personal events, from £550 for corporate hire) to qualify enquiries and reduce time spent on unsuitable bookings. Capacity, facilities, and late-night licence were given prominent placement.
The contact and booking enquiry flow was built around checking availability directly — encouraging phone or email contact before a formal deposit, with clear guidance on the viewing and booking process.
Reviewed the venue facilities, event types, pricing structure, and the journey event planners take from discovery to booking.
Created a premium events venue design — distinct from Gin Can and Cheshire Tap while sharing the Kings Court visual identity.
Built the Next.js site with event-type structure, pricing information, booking enquiry flow, and social integration.
Launched as part of the Kings Court multi-venue website project.
“John created our websites for 4 of our businesses, which I am extremely happy with. Despite my lack of knowledge he took his time to show me every aspect of the design and how it will increase customer interaction for us. The websites paid for themselves within a matter of weeks thanks to a number of new bookings coming via the sites. I would highly recommend JW Digital.”
