Stuart works with adults navigating childhood trauma, anxiety and emotional overwhelm, low self-worth and shame, addiction, and relationship and attachment difficulties — an integrative approach rooted in Person-Centred therapy with Gestalt and Transactional Analysis perspectives.
The website needed to reach people at a vulnerable, trust-sensitive moment — someone deciding whether to begin therapy. That meant a calm, genuinely human feel, clear explanations of each area Stuart works with, and a low-pressure path to making contact.
Choosing a therapist is a deeply personal, high-trust decision. Visitors are often hurting and hesitant, so the site had to feel warm and reassuring rather than clinical — while clearly conveying Stuart's UKCP accreditation, MSc training and integrative approach.
Several of Stuart's specialisms overlap — childhood trauma, narcissistic-parent dynamics, shame and self-worth, addiction, attachment and anxiety — so the structure needed to let visitors self-identify with the right 'door' without feeling boxed in.
As a Chelmsford-based practice serving the wider Essex area, the site also needed strong local SEO foundations to be found for therapy searches across Chelmsford, Brentwood, Billericay, Shenfield, Maldon and Colchester.
We designed a calm, human-feeling website that leads with warmth and trust — clear typography, a reassuring tone, and prominent UKCP-accreditation and qualification signals throughout the decision flow.
Each specialism has its own clear service page, supported by a simple 'how it works' journey (get in touch, initial conversation, first session, ongoing work) and an FAQ section answering the practical questions people have before starting therapy — cost, frequency, online sessions, cancellation and duration.
Multiple low-friction contact options — enquiry form, WhatsApp, click-to-call and email — make it easy to reach out, and local area pages target Chelmsford and the surrounding Essex towns. We're now running an ongoing local SEO campaign to grow that visibility over time.
